By the way - I posted this last week, cuz I thought people would get a kick out of it...but I don't see it here (either I did something wrong or the moderator mistook it for spam)

Re: Sushi Fashion
Wed, March 5, 2008 - 11:20 PMThat's really *bizarre* - I swear it was gone when I looked at the tribe earlier...but I also just got a ton of ancient tribe message alerts posted to my email...so maybe tribe is acting up!
Well - here it is again if you missed it the first time!
*sigh*

Re: Sushi Fashion
Sat, April 26, 2008 - 7:36 AMoh sorry .
Sushi spam.
One does not need to wear something to appreciate sushi..
why must every delight be exhaustively merchandised? -

Re: Sushi Fashion
Mon, April 28, 2008 - 8:55 PMSorry if it does not appeal to you)
But "spam" implies that I'm some advertiser who never frequents this board. And I've been making wiriting sushi reviews on tirbe and posting occasionally on this board for quite some time!
I'll just sit here and wear my kanji t shirt and eat my rohnert park maki, and no will make you do the same - otay?

Re: Sushi Fashion
Fri, May 2, 2008 - 4:40 PMNo this isn't spam, just a repost ,that to me, is somewhat amusing & certainly harmless enough. It's not as if it was totally off subject. -
-
Re: Sushi Fashion
Fri, May 2, 2008 - 4:54 PMIt was actually a total accidental repost. My computer seemed to have a delay in the post appearing and I thought it had vanished!
And I certainly thought it was on topic too!
Cheers! -

Re: Sushi Fashion
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 12:34 AMoops... I apologize profusely.
I guess it wasn't exactly spam.
I thought the tribe was dead. I'm in a cheerier mood tonight.
I very nuch like Manpuku on College Ave in Berkeley for lunchtime sushi. I'd love to visit Japan. Maybe this fall

Re: Sushi Fashion
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 12:22 PMNo problem - apology accepted. :)
Speaking of Fashion and Sushi...and living in Berkeley...
There *used* to be a sushi place in the east bay that also had a lot of anime/tees/toys for sale - I *think* it was called Manga Sushi. (?)
Do you know if it still exists?
Thanks -

Re: Sushi Fashion
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 3:46 PMI think it's is/was in Berkeley on Shattuck. So - so foodwise. If I get that far I'll be at Sugata or Kirala (if I have cash to burn). I'll check when I'm there next week. -
-
Re: Sushi Fashion
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 8:19 PMI ate at Kirala last week and was pleasantly surprised at the bill for two people on a Saturday night.
Steve, why do you eat Rohnert Park sushi when we have four sushi bars here in Greater Petaluma? Can't beat Kabuki! -
-
Re: Sushi Fashion
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 11:46 AMI *used* to really like Kabuki....but then I discovered Ta-Ke in Rohnert park.
Have you tried it? It really is the best thing anywhere in my humble opinion - prices, quality, service, nice people....it's always 100%+++ !!!!
Never so much as a mediocre grain of rice!
Kabuki - I have found - can be a bit inconsistant, and is certainly on the expensive side
(although it is the only place I've ever been where they had a fishbowl of live miniature crabs - and you could pick your own crabs...which they deep-fried right in front of you!)

That's way cool. I might have to take my little boy there. He'd get a kick out of choosing his dinner.
